JUPITER - THUNDER

From Another Planet.
The newly designed Jupiter is unlike anything from this planet. Fully designed in-house in Amsterdam featuring our revolutionary R-Coil® sole technology creating the softest handcrafted-in-Portugal sneaker to date. It’s out of this world.

A Year In The Making.
The name of our most advanced sneaker is inspired by the Roman god Jupiter, who was the king of gods using the thunder as his weapon. The Jupiter is our most advanced and most significant development of the Mercer Amsterdam brand to date; hence the name Jupiter was introduced for this sneaker.

R-Coil® Technology.
After 1000+ hours of testing, we are finally able to introduce a new compound for the midsole of the Jupiter, our patented R-Coil® technology. The R-Coil® midsole technology is a proprietary EVA + rubber combination optimising the energy return with every step giving back to the user.
We added a herringbone structured rubber outsole in order to maximise durability and traction.

Turning Heads.
The Jupiter’s upper is quite complicated by looking at it at first sight - we incorporated a lot of 3M reflective parts in order to purvey our inspiration to Jupiter’s thunder; for example the 3M lacing, the 3M “thunder” lining on the side and the 3M toebox elements. We also added speed-lacing to achieve equal lace tension throughout the shoe for added support and comfort. We finished the upper with open-mesh for increased breathability and added neon-elements to the upper for an extra “thunder” look-and-feel.
The sneaker is furthermore covered in Italian suede and matte gum-leather for added luxury. The entirety is all finished off with a Mercer thunder-logo rubber patch - another Jupiter reference that will likely turn heads.

OUR SIZE ADVICE

Mercer Amsterdam recommends customers to measure their feet before choosing the size. Measuring your feet will take a few minutes, while returning a wrong size will cost you and Mercer Amsterdam unnecessary time. You can estimate your shoe size by measuring the heel to toe length of your feet.

How to measure your feet

Place one foot on a piece of paper. Mark the paper at the end of your heel bone and at the end of your longest toe. Measure the distance between the two points and repeat the process for your other foot. If one foot is slightly larger, use the largest measurement as your foot size.
